Auckley Junior and Infant School

Auckley is a junior, infant and nursery school in a village about six miles to the east of Doncaster.

The main school is a modern, semi-open plan building. It is set in pleasant surroundings with a playground area to the rear of the school and a large field beyond. In addition, the nursery unit is housed in the 'old school' and attended on a part-time basis.

There are one hundred and ninety one full time and forty part time pupils between the ages of three and eleven. A number of the pupils are from villages outside the school's catchment area. The school is organised into seven single year group classes.

Apart from daytime school use, the building is also used in the evening for local meetings.

At the end of the school year in which they reach the age of 11, children normally transfer to Hayfield School.
